Because I don’t sign keys very often I always have to search for the commands. So here is a little reminder for my bad memory(called /dev/brain).

Get keys from a keyserver: gpg –keyserver pgp.mit.edu –recv-keys <key>

Sign the key with your key: gpg –sign-key <key>

Export the key to a public keyserver: gpg –keyserver pgp.mit.edu –send-keys <key>

Remember that not everyone want to have his keyy on a public keyserver. And yes there are ways to do that with kgpg, but for key signing sessions where a lot of keys should be signed it’s much more comfortable with the command line interface.

I wrote this blogentry already but unfortunately I deleted it on my own stupidity. Nevertheless I want to tell you a bit about my holiday job. After my last exam I received a call for this job and I accept it because it matched very well with my spare time until the beginning of the new semester. The cool thing about the job was that I was able to travel through our whole country and visit many friends. And of course there we’re many beautiful places alle over the whole journey:

Ok there we’re also negative sides, especially a lot of time which I spent alone in the car. Therefore it was very importent for me to see friends for lunch or a coffee in the afternoon. Thank you very much for being around and taking some time for me! Thanks also to the very friendly staffs from the Kandersteg International Scout Center (KISC) where I spent one of the nights. And don’t forget to thanks all the people around me which had a lot of patient because I was just away without really an announcement. It was truly a bit an impulsiv and offhanded decision to get this job down. Sorry for not announcing it very well.

Thank you all again you’re just great!

… are these days. I just got home from a long day which started at 7 o’clock this morning. It’s a long time ago, maybe never, that I get such a lot of things done in just one day. Really good feeling and I’m very sorry about at least two guys which are still waiting for things from me. Today I had 5 meetings, 2 (very short) talks in front of hundreds of people, a little sprint in the afternoon with a last meeting, a good dinner and at the end I was able to make a friend smile. And in this very moment another friend which is nearly at the other end of the world is contacting me … Life can be sometimes just that good. Thanks to everyone out there! Just Thank you for whatever!

… but good times too. There were such a lot things in the past few weeks and now ultimately the most things are over and there are now at least a couple of days with rarely no commitments. What a nice feeling! All exams are over, our national scout camp with more than 25′000 participants is over and we (usystems.ch) finally released Webling. It’s our first product which isn’t developed for a certain customer but for all club and association responsibles which want to manage their members and there documents online. I try to find the time to blogabit more detailed about it later. And of course the OpenExpo days in Switzerland getting closer and closer. We organized a nice house with more then enough beds where every attending project is able to get a low priced but good lodging. Feel free to contact me if you or your project is interested.

I’ve definitly passed the exams and I’m now an official approved student. This is for me a great surprise because I had as bad feeling about them as I never had bevor. (I know my english is horrible, please excuse) There are no words to describe my feelings. Thanks to everybody who was supporting me and thanks for all the patient by contacting over the exams and the time bevor.
